Last week I ordered a pair of yoga leggings from an online sale.
Nothing remarkable about that, I hear you say.
But yesterday they arrived. Inside a lovely calico bag was a parcel beautifully wrapped in gold patterned tissue paper. And inside were my leggings, and a t-shirt.
My first thought was that they'd got my order wrong, and now I'd have to make a trip to the post office to send the t-shirt back. But then I saw the hand written card thanking me for shopping with them, and saying that they had sent me a free gift to wear with my leggings. I was so touched by the kindness of strangers who made a dreary wet day feel a lot brighter.
We could all take a little time today to write a card and send it to someone we love. Close your eyes and think of them smiling as they read it.
Our lovely 'Writing for Wellbeing' group met yesterday, and one of the group mentioned this interview with our group facilitator, Leonie Charlton, talking about her wonderful book 'Marram'. Well worth a watch.
Please get in touch if you'd like to know more about our group.
