Have you got the bug?

I think knitting must be creeping up on gardening as a favourite Covid times activity. I'm glad to say the suppliers haven't started running out of wool yet though.

Our weekly Knitting Bee on Zoom is a great success. As well as working on our own personal projects we've been knitting 'Teddies for Tragedies' and have over 30 teddies ready to post. The teddies will be sent to children in need around the world, and it's lovely to think of our easy knitting being used to make a difference to these children's difficult and traumatic lives.

You don't need to be an experienced knitter to join our group - we have knitters of all levels, and one of the great things about the group is being able to share skills and learn from each other. So if you do tackle something a bit more difficult there will be someone there to help if you get stuck. Let me know if you'd like to join us - mairi@northargyllcarers.org.uk

We've started knitting bunting to 'yarn bomb' the Carers Centre while it's closed, and have lots of ideas for Christmas knits.

Quiz at the Coffee Morning tomorrow - 10.30am on Zoom.

Hope to see you there.
